Well as you can see it has been a while since I have posted on my blog.   I think I just got lazy.

Now it is a new year, and I have lots going on.   So, I am going to try this again.  Tomorrow, we are driving to Dallas to the Safari Hunt Club.   We will see the crew from the Blaauwkrantz Ranch, where we have been on Safari twice now.   We are planning to go again in 2012.  Can't wait... I love going there.  Below are a few photos from our trip this year.   This time I did a little hunting as well.

We were there 7 days.  The Rudman Family are amazing!  We have such a good time when we go.  Yes, the flight is long, but sooooo worth the trip.

Easter 1981

When looking through some old photos, I found this picture of Bryan hunting easter eggs at granny Bessie May's house.   The photo is somewhat faded, but I thought.... Wow! time goes by so fast!   I love to look back at pictures of the boys when they were little.   I will post a page of BJ on this same day soon.  I used the May kit from My Creative Scrapbook for this layout.   I love their kits!

Reina

Last year we went to New Mexico to visit with Bryan and Robin.   While there, we also had the pleasure of meeting our great grandaughter Reina.   OH... HOW CUTE!!!!!!   We had planned to go on a hike at a near by park and took Reina with us.   Robin had her all dressed up with a cute hat and sun glasses.  When I saw the My Creative Scrapbook, May kit... the colors matched perfectly.   I loved putting this layout together.

 

Notice the little blue checked butterfly on her little top.... see the little chipboard butterfly on the bottom right of the page?      I also made a little mini album to match.   There is a hat pin with a little pink flower charm on the bow on the layout, and on the bow on the book.

  

With some of the scraps left from the kit (My Creative Scrapbook - April Kit)  I made a couple of cards.

 

Now & Forever

A couple of weeks ago, I went with a friend to Crop Paper Scissors in Waco, for some classes given by Kelly Goree from Basic Grey.   The classes were a lot of fun.   One of the projects was this two page layout using the "Marrakech" line.

 

I will post photos of the other two projects when I finish them.

Cherish the Moments of Sweetness

I love pretty pink scrapbook papers, flowers, ribbon, you know....  Girlie stuff!   Well, I have two boys, and a grandson... they don't like pink.   So, I am using my pretty pink papers, flowers, etc. with photo's of Annslee all dressed up in a pretty pink bonnet, and dress with pink flowers.

 

 

Tiny Bubbles

Nothing like taking a bubble bath on a nice summer day in Texas.  I just love these photos, they are just so cute!    When I saw the Basic Grey, Ambrosia line... I thought it would work well with the flowers in the photos.   Can you see the bubbles in the pictures?

Grandparents Day

Wednesday was Grandparents Day at Tyler's Day Care.  Mark and I went to the event and had a great time.   We did an art project, ate some cookies, went to the different areas of his class room (reading, animal, etc.).   How fun!!!!! :)    

"MOMENTS LIKE THIS"

We were very young when our two boys were growing up.   We spent most of our time working, and trying to make ends meet.  Sure we had family gatherings, birthday parties, school events, etc., and have great memories (and some photos) of those events.  However, I didn't think to stop and take photos of "MOMENTS LIKE THIS".   Actually during those times, film and getting the photos developed, was expensive.  lol    Children grow up so fast!   I wish I had more photos like the one below with our boys.    With our grandson, I make sure to capture "MOMENTS LIKE THIS".

A NEW YEAR

I hope everyone had a great Christmas and New Year!   2008 was a good year, and I'm looking forward to 2009.   I hope to do a better job at keeping my blog updated.   Whew, so much to do!!!!  Mark and I have been sick since Christmas, but I think we are on the mend now. Was some sort of viral Phneumonia... not fun.    Needless to say, I didn't get anything done that I had planed to do while I was off work for two weeks.   Oh well, it is all still here waiting for me.  LOL!

Tyler and Santa

Although Tyler loves the whole Santa thing.... he is scared to death of Santa.    Up until this year, he would not even go close to Santa.    A friend of Crystal's had Santa visit her home, and Tyler got to watch all the other kids tell him what they wanted for Christmas.   Finally, Tyler agreed to at least stand by Santa.
