The Tudor Rose Sampler Guild had Margriet Hogue from The Essamplaire www.theessamplaire.com teach the Burrell Spot Sampler. A friend and I drove to Dallas for the weekend and participated in the class. Class held on August 9, 2008. Stitches used in this sampler: continental tent; tent stitch; bullion knots; detached button hole, spiral trellis; back stitch. The original Burrell Spot Sampler. 1600 - 1650 cc A few close up photos of the reproduction piece that Margriet had for the class to see. Some motifs in this sampler are three dimensional.
Some of the flower petals are stitched seperately and then attached. More information on this sampler to come. I will post pictures as I progress on this progress.

One of my favorite hobbies is stitching on linen. I have several projects "IN PROCESS" and all are different types of counted cross projects. Currently involved in stitching reproductions of samplers from the 1600 - 1700s. Also, have several "Over One" projects, kits from classes, etc.
I will be posting my projects on my blog as I make progress.
